User Statuses within UAS

PlanView Portal users may be active, pending, or inactive. This guide breaks down what each status means, plus special circumstances you may encounter.

Active

Active users can access PlanView Portal (PVP) and do not have any pending requests for new plans or features.

Active users may have a Lock Out Warning, which occurs after they have not logged in to PVP in 100 days. After 120 days, they will be unable to log in until an Authorized Approver resets their access.

Note: A user may be unable to log in to their account due to too many failed login attempts, but they will still appear on the “Active” tab, since their permission levels are unchanged. When this happens, they’ll need to contact the T. Rowe Price Help Desk.

Pending

There are two types of users labeled “Pending:”

Pending Approval: A user that has requested additional access and is waiting on an Authorized Approver to review their request.

Pending User Setup: A user that has additional steps to complete in their PVP registration process.

Note: Pending users may also have a Lock Out Warning, which occurs after they have not logged in to PVP in 100 days. After 120 days, they will be locked out and unable to log in until an Authorized Approver resets their access.

Inactive

Inactive users do not have access to PlanView Portal.

Their access request may have been declined, their account may have been disabled, or they have been locked out of the Portal due to 120 days of inactivity. Locked Out users will need to have their access reset by an Authorized Approver.

Note: This tab does not display users who have PVP permissions but are unable to log into their account due to too many failed login attempts. When this happens, they should contact the T. Rowe Price help desk.
