Security Tips for Mobile Access

To help keep your account secure when using the app:

  • Always log out after accessing your account.

  • Lock your device and use a secure password or biometric authentication.

  • Avoid opening attachments or links from unknown sources.

  • Be cautious of fraudulent text messages (SMishing) that attempt to collect personal information.

  • Keep your device’s software up to date.

  • Ensure the website or app uses secure connections (look for “https://” and a padlock icon).

  • Never share your login credentials or store them on your device.

Trouble Logging In

Do I need a user name and password to use the app?

Yes. You’ll log in using your existing T. Rowe Price online username and password. If you’re not yet enrolled, you can register through our full websites:

What if I forget my user name and/or password?

If you’ve forgotten your login credentials or your password is disabled, you can reset access through the “Forgot username or password” process. If needed, you may also contact a representative during normal business hours for assistance. We also recommend creating a passkey (which can be used to login without a password) in the mobile app or through a browser.

Does the app support biometric login like Touch ID or Face ID?

Yes. Supported devices can use biometric authentication (Touch ID or Face ID on iOS, fingerprint or facial recognition on Android) to log in securely.

  • iOS Devices: Touch ID is available on iPhone 5s and newer running iOS 11.0 or above.

  • Android Devices: Biometric login is supported on most modern Android devices with fingerprint or facial recognition capabilities.

How does biometric login work?

Biometric login allows you to access the app using your fingerprint or facial recognition instead of entering your username and password.

  • Your credentials are securely encrypted and stored in your device’s secure keychain or equivalent.

  • T. Rowe Price does not store or access your biometric data.

  • Anyone with a registered fingerprint or face on your device may be able to access your account, so please manage your device settings carefully.

How do I enable or disable biometric login?

To enable biometric login:

  1. Open the T. Rowe Price App.

  2. Before logging in, toggle the biometric login option to ON.

  3. Log in once with your username and password to activate the feature.

To disable it, simply go to your profile to delete.

What if biometric login doesn’t work?

If your device doesn’t recognize your fingerprint or face, you’ll be prompted to enter your password. You may also be asked for additional authentication if needed for security purposes.
