Jessica Sclafani leads the Retirement Strategists team at T. Rowe Price, which provides retirement expertise through proprietary research, market insights, and thought leadership on industry trends, investment strategies, plan design, and participant outcomes. She also brings client and market feedback into the firm’s broader strategy and capabilities.

A senior external spokesperson for the firm, Jessica engages with plan sponsors, consultants, advisors, and policymakers to translate research into actionable insights and support solutions-oriented discussions. She leads the firm’s annual Defined Contribution Consultant Study and Global Retirement Savers Study, advises on the development of new products and services, and amplifies the firm’s voice in retirement security and public policy. She also hosted season 5 of the Confident Conversations on Retirement podcast.

Jessica also writes on retirement investments, plan design, and regulatory and legislative developments. Her work includes the firm’s perspective on retirement income solutions and on private assets in defined contribution plans, the latter in an op-ed she authored for Pensions & Investments.

Jessica’s industry experience began in 2008. She joined T. Rowe Price as a senior defined contribution strategist in 2022 and was named head of the team in 2026. Previously, she worked at Wellington Management Company, LLP, as an analyst; at Cerulli Associates as director of its retirement practice; and at MFS Investment Management as a defined contribution strategist and director of its investment solutions group.

Jessica earned a B.S. from Boston College, College of Arts and Sciences, and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. She served on the Executive Committee of the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) as chair of its editorial review board from 2019 to 2022, and on the DCIIA Retirement Research Committee from 2022 to 2026. In 2024, she provided testimony to the ERISA Advisory Council on retirement income. In 2026, she was named an Influential Woman in Institutional Investing by Pensions & Investments and recognized as a Women Leader by Benefits Canada.
