How T. Rowe Price helps protect your information

Safeguarding online security and privacy is a high priority. These controls help support secure online communications and transactions.

Multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication adds another layer of protection by asking for a one-time security code in addition to your password. You may choose to use it every time you log in through your account profile settings.

Passkeys

Passkeys are an industry-standard, phishing-resistant login technology that can be used as a faster alternative to passwords. A passkey is not easily copied, but you can have more than one passkey so that if one is lost, you still have a backup.

Most people store their passkeys on their phones, allowing them to use the same biometric technology available on the device to verify their identity and sign in. A passkey stored on a phone can usually be used to sign in on a desktop or laptop by scanning a QR code displayed on the computer screen and then using Face ID, a fingerprint, or another mobile device unlock method to approve the sign-in.

Every passkey is unique to both the website and the device on which it is stored, but all of that is handled behind the scenes. The only thing you need to remember is where your passkey is stored. If you lose a passkey, you can still sign in using another passkey or your password.

Encryption

T. Rowe Price uses SSL/TLS encryption to help protect communications between your browser and T. Rowe Price web applications. Secure websites begin with https://.

Notifications and confirmations

Online transaction confirmations are mailed after the transaction date. Clients may also choose email or text alerts when confirmations are posted to their online account.

Logging, access controls, and monitoring

System activity is logged, access to client information is limited to authorized associates, and security infrastructure helps protect the network. Suspicious account activity may result in online access being suspended while activity is verified.
