Ira Carnahan is a portfolio specialist working on the Capital Appreciation Fund and the Capital Appreciation Equity ETF at T. Rowe Price Investment Management. He is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc.

Ira has been with T. Rowe Price since 2005, beginning in the T. Rowe Price Associates U.S. Equity Division as an investment analyst following consumer discretionary and consumer staples companies. Prior to this, Ira was employed by Forbes magazine as an associate editor covering investing, economics, and public policy and by The Public Interest, a quarterly journal of public policy, as the executive editor.

Ira earned a B.S., with honors, in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, and an M.A. in political science from Harvard University. He also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
