Tom Shelmerdine is a portfolio manager for the precious metals portfolio within the Global Real Assets Equity Strategy in the Global Equity Division. He is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc.

Tom's investment experience began in 2002, and he has been with T. Rowe Price since 2012, beginning as an investment analyst on the Australia Equity Strategy team. Prior to this, Tom was employed by Optimal Funds Management in the area of investment management.

Tom earned a bachelor of science degree in geology and a bachelor of commerce degree in finance and economics from the University of Melbourne.
