John Qian is the portfolio manager of the metals and mining strategy. He is a vice president and an Investment Advisory Committee member of the Global Natural Resources Equity and the US Large-Cap Core Equity Strategies. John also is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., and T. Rowe Price International Ltd.

John's investment experience began in 2017 when he joined T. Rowe Price, beginning as an investment analyst covering metals and mining companies in the U.S. Equity Division. Prior to this, he was an intern for the U.S. Equity Division in the summer of 2016. Before that, John was employed by American Express as part of the CEO's corporate strategy team working on both industry-level and business unit-level strategies. John also interned in investment banking at Moelis & Company.

John earned an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, and a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.
