Jim Kennedy served as CEO and president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. from January 2007 through December 2015.  He was a member of its Board of Directors and Chair of the firm's Management Committee and Management Compensation Committee. Mr. Kennedy served as director of Equities from 1997 to 2006. He also served as director of Equity Research of T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., from 1987 to 1999 and as an investment analyst from 1978 to 1987.
 
Mr. Kennedy worked for T. Rowe Price for 38 years. Prior to joining the firm in 1978, he was employed by General Electric and participated in its financial management training program.
 
Mr. Kennedy earned an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He serves on the Board of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and is a member of its executive committee. He’s also a member of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) Board of Visitors and the United Continental Holdings Board of Directors.  Mr. Kennedy previously served on the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council and has received the Stanford Graduate School of Business 2012 Excellence in Leadership Award. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
