Aaron Gifford is an associate director of research in the Fixed Income Division. In this role, he leads the Global Sovereign team, which includes analysts, strategists, and economists covering more than 100 developed, emerging, and frontier countries. He serves as a member of the Investment Advisory Committees for the Global and International Funds. He also is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., and T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc.

Aaron’s investment career began in 2012, and he has been with T. Rowe Price since 2017, beginning as a sovereign analyst in the Fixed Income Division before later becoming the emerging markets sovereign team leader in 2023. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. in New York as a fixed income strategist specializing in Latin American sovereign debt and local markets. Earlier in his career, Aaron was a research analyst in the Markets Room at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C., where he provided global financial market analysis to senior policymakers.

Aaron earned a B.S. in finance from Brigham Young University and an M.S. in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University. He also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst^® designation and is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.
