Hiroshi Watanabe is a portfolio manager for the Japan Equity Strategy and the Japan portion of the International Small-Cap Equity Strategy in the Global Equity Division. He is chair of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Japan Fund and an Investment Advisory Committee member for the International Discovery Fund, Overseas Stock Fund, and Global Growth Stock Fund. Hiroshi is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc., and T. Rowe Price Japan, Inc. 

Hiroshi’s investment experience began in 2006 when he joined T. Rowe Price, beginning in the International Equity Division. Prior to this, Hiroshi was a deputy director of the Space Industry Office with the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of the Japanese government. 

Hiroshi earned a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in aerospace engineering from Tokyo University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Hiroshi also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
